About Us
Powell River Medical Clinic is a brand-new clinic completed in July 2019. It is centrally located on Joyce and Westview street.
We are excited to offer our existing and new patients the continuity of quality primary care services. In order to increase the access to primary care in Powell River, we also offer Walk-In Clinic hours at our facility.
Our Founders
Alexander Marchenko. MD, PhD, CCFP
Dr. Marchenko completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of British Columbia in 2018. He was born and raised in Moscow, Russia where he finished his MD and training in Pediatrics. He moved to Canada to finish his PhD. He worked in Calgary as a bedside physician in NICU until 2016. He has special interest in pediatrics, men's health, sports medicine and acute care.
Diana Gil. MD, CCFP
Dr. Gil completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of British Columbia in 2015. She was born and raised in Colombia where she finished her MD. She enjoys providing comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages and backgrounds with a special interest in chronic diseases, addictions and many common office surgical procedures.
